We are a small lavender farm and are just completing our first year distillation of lavendula grosso. We have planted, weeded and harvested by hand and are in the process of applying for an organic certificate.
We are working with first and second year plants and our yield this year is 10 litres expecting to rise to 50 litres a year from our current fields.
Extraction of the oil is by hydro-distillation through a specialised distillateur imported from the USA which keeps the temperature at an even rate of 100 degrees which results in quality essential oil.
